For those of you that may be new to our organization, the mission of CoreNet Global is to advance the practice of corporate real estate through professional development opportunities, publications, research, conferences, designations and networking in 43 local chapters globally.  As described by CoreNet Global, our organization is the world’s leading association for corporate real estate (CRE) and workplace professionals, service providers and economic developers.

Close to 10,000 members, who include 70% of the Fortune 100 and nearly half of the Forbes Global 2000, meet locally, globally and virtually to develop networks, share knowledge, learn and thrive professionally.  Our goal as the Board of Directors for the Michigan Chapter of CoreNet Global is to provide you with these opportunities at the local level.

For those of you that are existing members and/or sponsors, on behalf of the Board of Directors we would like to thank for your involvement and support of our Chapter.  Without our members and sponsors our educational and networking events would not be possible.  Please take a moment to review our list of sponsors and thank them when you meet someone from their organizations at one of our upcoming events (calendar).

With each great local event, I am reminded how well our Chapter portrays CoreNet Global’s Core Values, which are:

1. CoreNet Global members, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders are professional, courteous, respectful, ethical and accountable in their actions and behaviors.

2. There is a spirit of volunteerism, teamwork, cooperation and camaraderie in all that we endeavor.

3. The staff-volunteer partnership is powerful and vital to the success of the organization.

4. The organization fosters a sense of community and collaboration that facilitates individual growth and helps advance the corporate real estate profession.

I encourage and welcome everyone to offer ideas, participate on a Committee, or simply attend an upcoming event so that you too can experience what our Chapter and its members have to offer.  If you’d like to become more involved but aren’t sure how to go about it, please feel free to contact me or another Board Member.  I hope that this year brings many new faces and ideas to the forefront in our Chapter.  I look forward to an exciting year and as always, I greatly appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,

Andrew Z. Spilkin
